The Ag Advisory Board's role in the Property Tax System
The board will meet at least three times a year. If you are interested in serving on this board, please contact Caldwell County Appraisal District at 512-398-5550.
This board's function is to advise the chief appraiser on major issues dealing with agricultural or timber appraisal - net to land, degree of intensity standards, and other agricultural use and appraisal issues. Board members will be familiar with local land use, degree of intensity, typical production practices, lease and productions costs, typical net to land estimates, crop and crop yields, and other agricultural or timber appraisals in the district.
2022 Appraisal Notices have been mailed April 29, 2022 for most properties.
Protest Deadline is May 31, 2022.
Remember to turn in your Homestead applications.
The 2022 Appraisal Values were certified as of July 18, 2022.
You may apply for the 2023 Tax Year for AG applications.

Processing of Deeds for Ownership changes are currently as of recorded date JANUARY 31, 2023.
All property splits & subdivision created after April 1, 2023 will be split for 2024 tax year.
These splits and new accounts will not create a 2023 tax bill.
